Local conditions

Medway's schools, colleges, retail and healthcare buildings put sealant under sustained attack: scrubber-driers, chemical cleaning, trolley impact and constant footfall along floor-line and wall junctions, plus continuous moisture in washrooms and changing rooms.

We tool floor-line beads hard into both faces, set out continuous runs with no restarts for machines to catch, and use anti-mould products in wet areas so joints stay clean between deep cleans.

Chatham has a large rental and HMO stock, and bathroom sealant in those properties gets the worst of it — heavy use, limited ventilation, and reseals applied over previous reseals between tenancies until the joint is three layers deep and lifting.

Our fix is the same every time: strip every layer out, deal with the mould rooted underneath, dry the joint, then seal once with an anti-mould product sized correctly. Landlords and agents get a fixed written price for it up front.

How long until we can use the bathroom after sealing?

Most domestic reseals are done in a day, and we explain cure times before leaving — generally a number of hours before water contact. We plan the work to keep the room out of use as briefly as possible.
